Providing online therapy in Arizona
***Please note that per state licensure statutes and licensing regulation bodies, you must select a therapist that is licensed in the state in which you reside. You must also physically be in that state in order to attend telehealth sessions.
Hi, I’m Magdalena Lopez. I’m a bilingual licensed therapist in Arizona with years of clinical experience helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional overwhelm, and the deep work of healing.
My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration — I believe healing happens not in isolation, but in connection. In our work together, I focus on cultivating self-acceptance and recognizing common humanity — the understanding that pain, struggle, and growth are experiences we all share.
I have specialized experience supporting people managing trauma symptoms, suicidal thoughts, and maintaining recovery through life’s ongoing challenges.
My clinical foundation is built on evidence-based practices, but my heart is in creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and safe to be your full self.
I believe in your capacity to grow, to feel deeply, and to evolve — not by becoming someone else, but by becoming more fully who you are.
“I show grace and kindness, creating safety to heal.”

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach designed to support individuals affected by trauma. In addition, I am trained in EMDR and incorporate mindfulness-based techniques and somatic practices into my work. These modalities help individuals reconnect with their mind and body, fostering a sense of safety, comfort, and self-awareness.
I am deeply passionate about guiding others as they discover their own path toward healing and personal growth. I believe in the powerful connection between mind and body, and I am committed to helping clients explore and restore that connection to create lasting change.
With the right support, every person has the capacity for emotional resilience and true healing. I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey. Together, we can explore the approaches and tools that best support your unique needs as a whole person.

“My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with acceptance, not avoidance. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help clients develop psychological flexibility — learning to sit with difficult thoughts and emotions while staying connected to their values and purpose.
At the heart of my work is a client-centered philosophy: I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace. I meet you where you are, with deep respect for your lived experience and personal strengths.
I also integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns that affect mood, behavior, and relationships. From Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I draw skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — especially when life feels overwhelming or chaotic.
Because no one modality fits every person or every situation, I take an eclectic, integrative approach to therapy. I tailor each session to your unique needs, combining techniques that work best for you — always with the goal of helping you move toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and freedom.”
