Eric Hansen
Providing online & in-person therapy in Arizona & Colorado
***Please note that per state licensure statutes and licensing regulation bodies, you must select a therapist that is licensed in the state in which you reside. You must also physically be in that state in order to attend telehealth sessions.
I’m Eric Hansen, a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults navigating trauma, identity, relationships, life transitions, and the deeper questions that can come with trying to understand ourselves and our lives.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and curious. I often use parts work and IFS-informed therapy to help clients understand the different parts of themselves, including the protective patterns that may have developed in response to difficult experiences.
I’m especially interested in helping people explore the connections between their past experiences, relationships, identity, personal story, values, and sense of meaning. Therapy with me isn’t just about managing symptoms. It can also be a place to better understand the patterns that shape how you experience yourself and the world around you.
I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care and welcome clients of all genders, identities, relationship structures, and backgrounds.
For clients who consider faith or spirituality an important part of their lives, I’m also comfortable making space for those beliefs within therapy. This is always client-directed, and I work within each client’s own faith and spiritual framework rather than providing pastoral or theological counseling.
Above all, I see therapy as a collaborative relationship. My role isn’t to tell you who you should be, but to help you become more curious about who you are, what has shaped you, and what you want your life to look like moving forward.

By fostering a safe and structured environment, I help clients move beyond short-term solutions to create sustainable growth. I value the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing and strive to build a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy Denver’s vibrant food and arts scene, discovering new coffee shops, and spending quality time with friends and family.
“I believe healing starts with understanding and embracing all parts of ourselves—both the ones we show the world and the ones we keep tucked away. Each of us carries a personal story shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the ways we’ve learned to navigate life. When those stories start to feel heavy or limiting, therapy offers the chance to see them with fresh perspective and compassion, while also reconnecting with the wisdom of the body.
My approach is collaborative and supportive, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, somatic awareness practices, and other evidence-based strategies. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that have shaped your life, build tools to regulate the nervous system, and create a stronger foundation of resilience and balance so you can feel more grounded and confident moving forward.”
