I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who is passionate about helping individuals recover, grow, and regain balance in their lives. I specialize in supporting those dealing with trauma, daily stress, parenting challenges, negative thinking, school-related pressures, and other factors that impact mental health.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. It’s a big step, and I want you to know that in our sessions, you’ll be met with empathy, respect, and an open heart. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning I’ll work alongside you to identify your unique needs and goals, tailoring our sessions to support your path to healing and personal growth.

I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. In this safe space, you can explore your challenges without judgment, gaining the tools and insights you need to build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me reading, exploring alternative healing practices, or enjoying time with my husband and our three teenaged children. I believe in the importance of balance in life—something I strive to nurture both in my personal and professional journey.

Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.
— Howard Thurman
I believe that healing and growth come from a place of compassion — both toward oneself and others. Authenticity and patience are the cornerstones of my approach, as I understand that true change unfolds over time. In my work, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the client.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative and client-centered. While I bring expertise and training to the table, I deeply respect that the client is the true expert of their own life. This mutual respect fosters an environment of trust and openness, where healing can take root.

I view the healing process as gradual, a journey that takes time and patience. This understanding allows me to approach each client with empathy and understanding. As a therapist, I also recognize that culture plays a significant role in shaping who we are. Because of this, I incorporate cultural awareness into all aspects of my work, ensuring that every client’s background, values, and identity are respected and considered.

Ultimately, my goal is to support clients in achieving emotional well-being, self-discovery, and enhanced coping skills. I aim to empower individuals to not only address their challenges but also to find the strength within themselves to thrive.
